At least in name - ha! definitely an old joke! But we are also very blessed with a wonderful extended family. Gatherings with the Rich family are something I always look forward to - especially if Grandma is making noodles! With most of the grandkids now adding children to the mix, we've now outgrown Grandma & Grandpa's little house, but it's still a great time.
After receiving the diagnosis of Down syndrome, we didn't worry too much about how Eisley would be accepted, but the thought is always out there. Each of our children is unique and special, she just has some features and characteristics that stand out more than others. Several people went out of their way to make sure we knew Eisley would be accepted and loved just the way she is. We knew that, but hearing it be reaffirmed was good too.
We also appreciated trips to the hospital to visit. Even trips to come take our big kids to lunch and entertain them while Mom and Dad had Eisley time. Trips to just wait in the waiting room with us and talk about things like the 9pm Sloan siren. Packing into their already full weekend a baby dedication and lunch. Many posts, emails and calls of support.

Thanks guys for stepping up and showing us the love! We are so richly blessed to be part of the Rich family.
**Our family is great all around, not just the Rich's. So please don't be offended if today's topic didn't include you - we love you too. Maybe there's just something magic in those noodles!**

We love you guys so much! God has an amazing way of showing us how much family means. I think our little girls will just love each other to pieces, just as we do already. I can't wait until they can all play together!
