Old MacDonald's

After a morning playdate with a couple DS moms we grabbed some yummy doughnuts and then a nap.  All in preparation for an evening out at Pooley's Pumpkin Patch.  We're thankful for the rain, but it did make for a muddy trip - although that's not something that will stop some kids from having fun.  It did stop the tractors from taking us to the pumpkin patch, but we had lots of fun on the farm anyway.  This is a great little family run venue and less than 1/2 the price of the popular patch south of the metro.  Thanks to ODSPN for our trip tonight and even smores.  More details with the pics.  Yes, there are a lot, but there was so much to see and do!  We all had a great time seeing the animals and meeting new and old friends.

Checking out the chicken coop

A little chicken dance for the chickens

Of course some tractor pics - (Charlie to name the make and model)

Wow, it's tough getting 4 kids to look at the camera all at once!

Our tire swing isn't quite this big

Home grown punkins

"Come here cow, come here...mooo, come over HERE cow"

Pony ride, T on Gizmo and K on Strawberry, much better than the last ride when she cried and wiggled the whole time

A story teller, with some odd tales, like the BellyButton Monster

Petting the baby chicks, since Lexi, AKA Elmyra, was present we had to implement the zoo's two finger petting rule

Lexi and this kitten had quite the conversation, but in the end the kitty had to stay on the farm

Roasting marshmellows for the smores

Patiently waiting for our smores and catching up with our friend Lisa who's just out of the pic

Another one for Charlie, our only known tractor expert, to label

Bunnies

Piggies

Even a calf, just laying down for a snooze

Wow, these animals are so fun to see!

The kids, oh, and maybe Mom, ran and chased all over the hay bales until Dad called it quits.

How 'bout them Hawks?  A girls gotta find her own fun while the others run off to play!
Props to Dad for being our valet and fetching the car while we waited on solid ground!  What a great adventure - now to tackle all the muddy shoes!

It looks like you had a great time! I don't know what picture I like best -- all 4 of them on the tire swing, or Lexi talking to the kitten. ;)
