Daniel and Emily have been abroad serving in Australia since Christmastime last year. I know some may look at their situation as foolish - they gave up good jobs and may not be able to come back to them. This is true, however, they have been ministering to people who had a need and if they had not gone maybe no one would have. If it is their desire to reach out to people half-way across the world, it is our job as their family to support and love them.
Since their departure, Joseph has been added to their family. They came back to the states for Daniel's grandfather's funeral. Lucky for us, they planned some extra time to spend with family as well. Tonight we got to meet Mr. Joseph in person and see the rest of the crew too.
Since our crew is getting larger, we chose to meet at Valentino's instead of someone's home.
Keira and Emily have become special friends. At least once a week I hear from Keira about how much she misses Em and when will she be coming back.
I really enjoyed just sitting back and watching the family. Grandma and Uncle Mike got lots of baby snuggling done.
Cousins chatted and caught up on happenings. Little ones played, colored, chased and tickled. Carl & Andrea will be adding one to the mix this winter.
And next time Jen can make the gathering, we will have to get a party room to contain everyone.

Those are some great pictures! I heard Jen's tales from meeting up with the Down Under crew... glad you got to spend some time with them as well.
