Get Ready for some Football

We were fortunate enough to receive some free tickets to the season opener for the Nighthawks tonight from the D.A.D.S. groups (Dads about Down syndrome).  The new Omaha UFL team, for those not in the know.  They are playing this season at Rosenblatt and will share the new TDA park next year.
Eisley preparing with some football, well, maybe more like wrestling moves on Eeyore.
After dining and dashing at the pre-game party, the search for a parking spot began.  The game was sold out, but thanks to years of attending CWS games at the Blatt, we found a spot within hiking distance for the kids.

The challenge with turning a baseball stadium into a football arena is obviously the shapes of the field don't match up.  Somebody ends up with seats far away from the field, but those ticket holders did have the opportunity to be on the field for the half-time show.  We were up close and personal, even off the field, to see Nelly perform.  Tristan says that was the best part.

Our friend Miss Macy is just a week older than Little E and has the same hairdo!

Awww lovin' on her sis
We had to jet shortly after half-time for the sake of those around us, but we're still thankful for the experience.  I hear the Nighthawks pulled out some moves for a last minute win.  More adventures to come tomorrow.
