Lab Day

Several months ago Eisley had an MRI to evaluate her seizures.  Part of the findings included the lack of the bright spot of the pituitary gland.  To further evaluate this she saw endocrine and had some labs ordered.  She doesn't have any of the symptoms of issues with this, so the labs are really more to confirm there is not an issue.  (The spot did show on the first MRI in February, so may just be a miss on this one.)  It's also time to recheck Eisley's thyroid - just something to watch with the Down syndrome.

After carefully collecting a urine sample (those little bags with a sticker worked pretty well!), we were off to the lab.  Eisley came home with her whole hand wrapped since we couldn't get a bandaid to stay on.  She played up her war wound to Bubba and scored some sympathy points with him.  It's a good thing he didn't go with us - I think he had more tears than Eisley did last time:)
Last night Eisley was signing Daddy and saying it over and over.  She's been signing it, but likes to sign on Daddy rather than herself.  Now she got it down!

PS: The lab results came back ok.  The thyroid was just a tad low at 0.49 and 0.5 is the low end of normal, but nothing further to do for now.
