This week Eisley had a follow up appointment with cardiology. Six months ago, she was not having a fabulous day, which meant for a suboptimal echo. This week was much better. A quick echo without tears lends to clear pictures. Pictures which showed a tiny (2mm) VSD remaining near the lower patch and a trace amount of mitral valve regurgitation. The PA we always see said they would be ok with mild-moderate regurg at this point, so only trace is great. We were told before Eisley had her heart repair that she may need valve surgery down the road, but it's just a wait and see how things go kind of thing. With that fabulous looking echo, Little E doesn't have to go back for an entire year! Woo hoo!!
To top it off we walked off the elevators and saw this larger than life pic of our pal Daniel greeting us on the new cardiology clinic floor:
The rest of the week has been pretty low key. We started preparations for Christmas - trying to find everything after the move this summer, what got tossed, what we still have and where it fits into our new home. The kids had fun putting the ornaments on the tree - the lower half was thoroughly covered. Although a branch can only hold so many, so we had to help with some adjustments:) Eisley wasn't sure what to really think of the tree, it's kind of prickly and a little daunting when one is only 30 inches tall.
An elf from the North Pole found our new house - this year we have Penny - a girl elf. She does more than sit on a shelf - although sometimes, she picks the same spot a couple days in a row to watch the kids. Lexi found her today hiding in the blinds. The kids race to see who can find her first every morning. Her presence doesn't seem to be affecting any behavior (hoping to see it improve), but the girls have been overheard passing along some messages for Santa.I spotted this shirt on the clearance rack at Target and couldn't turn it down. Little E is one tough cookie - for that I am extremely grateful!
