Christmas Eve

It was nice having the whole weekend for the holidays.  This morning we had pancakes for breakfast and got out the molds for Santa, reindeer and snowman pancakes.  After a couple rounds we had them coming out pretty well - they're a lot of extra work and I quickly remembered why we don't get them out very often.  Lexi got a spare piece that looked just like an arm with a mittened hand to go with her Santa pancake.
Miss Eisley just wasn't sure what to think of her noisy, swooshy, crinkly dress that made crawling difficult.  She still had plenty to say.

itsy bitsy spider

cough, cough, excuse me
Yea!!

What a nice hug!  Lexi is trying so hard to be a kind big sister and in return Eisley sticks out her tongue.  Showing the love for sure!

Taking a few steps with Nana - actually all the way from the living room to the island - whoa!
Tonight we invited the grandparents to church, dinner and open gifts with us.  The kids loved having both set of grandparents all to themselves.  Part of our Christmas Eve tradition is reading the Christmas story from the Bible.  The older girls were sitting with Nana and listening.
The kids got to open gifts from the grandparents.  Eisley is checking out her new puppy - he has lots to say!
For several years we have skipped exchanging gifts with the adults or requested a charitable donation instead.  This year, Mom and Dad had a tree planted in a forest for us - how awesome!
