Christmas Wrap Up

Having the weekend for the holiday and then Monday off for the work compensation of the holdiay was awesome.  It was really nice to have extra time to spend as a family and just relax.  Here's Boo with her doll and matching pj's.  Lexi picked these out to give her.

One of my new favorite shows is The Chew.  One of the holiday crafts they showed was salt dough ornaments.  They do use a LOT of salt, but were pretty easy to make.  We rolled out the dough and used cookie cutters to make the shape of our ornaments.  Maybe our dough wasn't rolled out thin enough, but it took a long time for the ornaments to dry in the oven - 24 hrs instead of 4-6.  But now we don't have to worry about them being to thin and breaking.

Today we painted the ornaments.  Paint and kids just makes me nervous, I don't know why, even if it gets on their clothes, they are just clothes, easily replaceable.  I'm working on that one.  Anyway, the girls had fun with it.  Lexi painted her penguin all pink.
I painted a star for Eisley and let her add some pink on top of the base coat.  She really like painting - I think they do lots of painting crafts at daycare.
