A Couple Mishaps

My girls are a pretty good mix of girliness (if that's a word) and rough 'n tumble.  They're the ones playing outside in the mud with princess shoes and a tiara on.  Lipgloss and chapstick are a popular thing, so when Keira asked if she and Lexi could put some on before church I said "Sure."  Being busy myself, getting everyone else ready, I failed to notice they were taking a long time doing this.  Hmmm...

Keira looked much the same, but being the mastermind behind it, her face got scrubbed before any pics were taken.  We WERE ready to walk out the door to church.  She's a pro at the clown look if anyone needs makeup assistance for Halloween!

Tuesday was a tough afternoon for Keira too.  She came home from school looking like this:

She apparently got sand in her hair with the help of another girl.  They took it upon themselves to try to get the sand out - in the bathroom with the sink.  Boo explained through tears that she had to get the sand out quickly because the other girl informed her if she didn't, bugs would get in her hair, bite her head and make it bleed!  It was all we could do to hold our laughter until she climbed in the shower.  Hopefully next time she'll look for help from an adult rather than a big time 1st grader!
