Boy oh boy, was Miss Eisley giving that doorknob a try! This week has been busy with:
- A follow up by hepatology - labs look better, but not quite back to normal, so we'll repeat them in 3 months. Most likely this was all an acute viral hepatitis triggered by a viral illness. Just on exam the Dr could tell her liver and spleen were back to normal size.
- Early Intervention - we've switched primary providers to the teacher rather than OT. She's adding in some play skills - pretending with a cup, spoon, baby and container play (putting objects in a tupperware and encouraging Eisley to ask for help to open or problem solve to get them out). Eisley has really taken to playing with her baby and loves to play with cups and spoons. She mostly likes to "feed" herself, but maybe the babydoll will get a drink soon:)
- A new physical therapist. And this time Daddy even took E to PT. Our beloved PT from the start has moved on and we've had a new therapist for a few weeks, but she just wasn't quite hitting the mark. (Hey - Eisley gives her best, we expect nothing less from our providers too!) So we decided to ask for a new therapist and our first session was this week. Wow! I don't know why we waited, but Miss Heather has some plans for Eisley and she brings a tough workout! This makes for a very tired Eisley, but a satisfied Mommy!
- Of course we're finalizing some plans for the Buddy Walk, which is next weekend. We hope to have a great weather and a fun day of celebrating.
