Making Waves

Yep, we're at it again.  No water this time, but we couldn't just go along for the ride.  Today we had another IFSP meeting, we called another meeting to "fix" what we didn't like about the goals.  We don't want to rock the boat too much, because we do have to work with these folks for many years to come.  But, Sean and I reviewed the goals written and we just couldn't let them slide by.

So we met with the team again.  We started off by telling them how much we do appreciate all they do and agreed they have Eisley's best interests in mind.  However, we as parents have to do the majority of the tasks listed on the IFSP and want to have more input to the goals.  Our points were received really well and the team was very open to letting us do this.  I think in the past they have just had parents who just took a backseat and let them guide the way.

That's just not our style.  Little E gives 110% and we must do the same!  Oh, little girl, you are making me learn and grow in so many ways!

Awesome job, Anne. Way to step up and make sure she is getting the attention she needs to continue to grow and develop as she has been! We need more parents like you guys. :)
