Good Friday

Sean had the day off and Friday is Eisley's day to attend daycare.  So it was just Lexi, Daddy and I for breakfast out.  LePeep has become our breakfast spot - delicious cinnamon rolls, french toast and pancakes for the carb lovers.

In the spirit of less is more and having the house for sale, we didn't haul out baskets or get candy this year.  We decided to let the kids have their Easter suprises a little early.  Lexi started off this morning and helped me put everyone else's on their beds:
a bunny pillow pet
I ran for appointments, hair cut, nails, shopping and grabbed the kids on my way home.  Then they found what we had been up to:
Tangled Leapster game and shirt

Legos - what else does he ever want?

Her very own pillow pet

Eisley got a basket from her teacher at daycare too with goldfish, a cereal bar and bubbles
Although it sounds like a great Friday, Sean reminded me as we were driving this morning that many years ago Christ was about to be placed on the cross after enduring hours of torment and torture.  What is so great about that?  Not much.  But that He did it for you and me - for our freedom - and lived as our example is what's beyond good.

My friend Jackie summed it up with her facebook post: Easter. The cross. They thought they were putting Him in His place. Actually, they were putting Him in mine.
