We had planned to get Lexi a bike for her birthday and went shopping "just to look" this weekend. We came home with two bikes - one for Lexi and one for Keira. So far they have just made do with Tristan's old bikes (which were hardly used since he won't learn to ride!), but it was time for something more girlie. Or so we thought, here's the bike Lexi picked out:
Yep, she's completely fallen for Mickey! Although, I'll admit it was the only bike short enough for her - 10". Keira picked out a Barbie bike. They can't wait for a little nicer weather to get out and start riding!
Lexi was really funny when we got home. Sean dropped us all off and unloaded the stroller, then went back to get the bikes. Lexi started looking through the bag we brought in from the store, practically in tears - "Mom, I can't find my Mickey bike in the bag!" Soon Daddy saved the day, by bringing her bike inside for a couple laps around the house.
Saturday night we all got out of the house, the kids were watched by some UNO students, while Sean & I enjoyed dinner out with other parents from the DS Alliance. It was a nice break and something we need to do more often.
Eisley has been improving her crawling skills, earlier in the week she was up to crawling about 8 steps and then down to the army crawl. Now she is moving about the house from room to room so she can be wherever the action is. Here she is checking out the kitchen:
Of course moving around the house also means finding so many more things to explore. Several times, tonight Eisley was moved away from my picture boxes - | Hmm, what's in here? |
| Ha! I found something! |
She was not a fan of being told no and demonstrated how well she can pout and stick out her lip!
