Kid Free Weekend

Tristan and Keira went to Nana & Papa's this weekend and just returned home. Anakin really missed them as he was left to sleep by himself at night. Tristan reports Lexi must have missed him too because she started smiling when she saw him.

Friday Mom, Dad and Lexi visited GG and checked on her foot. Saturday Mom & Dad spent free time shopping for birthday gifts, shoes, window treatments and a new front door (troublesome prospect with a transom and a single door). They enjoyed dinner out at Brother Sebastian's and Lexi slept until the bill came - good timing. Sunday was a special concert at church - Lexi didn't like it - too dark and too loud, so she and Mom watched from the lobby, while figuring out how to text Dad that they were ready to go.

Last week Lexi decided she is no longer really interested in naps, maybe 1 or 2, but the rest are only quick little power naps - there are just too many things to see and do now. This presents a little challenge for Mom, trying to get things done, but she'll figure it out. Lexi fought so hard last night that she fell asleep sitting on the couch - her other new activity. Lexi's really grabbing at toys and hair and smiling lots, even trying to laugh. Of course time for a few photos is always a must!
