Pony Tail!

It's hard to believe we've gone from this:
to this:

in just a year.  It's hard to get a pic of a pony tail, but it's really there.  Lexi's hair got buzzed off - yep just like her brother's at age 2 just after Thanksgiving 2009.  She kept pulling her hair out by the handfuls and was practically bald on the right side of her head.

So in hopes of getting her to stop pulling it, we shaved it all off.  The few weeks it took to grow back was enough to break her of the habit - at least the worst of it.  Lexi still likes to have hair intwined in her fingers and  then suck her thumb.  It's just her comfort thing.
Other than pony tails, we've had a busy week.  Conferences for Keira and Tristan went really well.  Keira has to work on her handwriting, but most of that issue is slowing down and not rushing through it.  Tristan's teacher noticed he is a little more outgoing and sometimes troublesome lately - not really bad, but more of a breaking out of his shell moment.

The kids also had a dentist appointment.  I just love how Lexi wants to fit in with her brother and sister - she didn't whine or cry and was in fact, excited to go to the dentist.  The kids go back first, get cleaned and examined and then the parents get called back to review things with the dentist.   No one had any issues!  I asked about Eisley's super sharp teeth.  She thought it would eventually wear down, but since she's not eating/drinking normally it will take a little longer.

Saturday night we ventured out to dinner and a UNO hockey game, sponsored by the DADS group.  The kids had a fun time watching the game.  It moved pretty fast and there were lots of side activities as well.  When that got boring, there were some interesting interactive displays of animals to look at in the lobby.  Of course we had to get cotton candy too!  Pics to come from Daddy's iphone.
