Just One More Scar

It was an early start to have Eisley at Children's by 5:30am.  Today's task was to re-fix the hernia above her belly button and remove the adenoids.  Our surgeon was quite surprised that Eisley's hernia reoccurred, in fact, said that has never happened to any of his patients before.  Welcome to life with Eisley!  The ENT is hopeful that removing the adenoids and irrigating her sinuses will help with all the sinus infections Eisley has.  It's when the sinus infections flare that poor E is so congested and overcome with drainage that we use the tubefeeding again.  Maybe, just maybe this will lead to the end of tube feeds!
Charming some bubbles from the nurses and dumping bins of toys in the playroom.

Hopefully this will be the last time we are snuggled after surgery, although all the nurses in recovery love having a little snuggle bug.  Eisley was drowsy, yet awake and just didn't know what she wanted.  She kept signing "more", but then didn't want to take a drink.  We managed to get enough fluids down to go home and rest in our own beds.
