MMI Graduation

Knowing it was their last chance to play, the kids kept themselves busy as Eisley finished up her last feeding session of the inpatient program.  Once Keira saw that Tristan climbed the wall, she decided she could too.

Rollin' rollin' rollin'

This swing has a ramp that cranks out on the side opposite the kids so a person in a wheel chair can roll on and then swing.  Once loaded up, you can push/pull on the table in the middle to make yourself swing.  We thought this would be an awesome idea for Jen, but the price tag is near $5K!

It was finally time for Eisley's big "walk".  That's Jason, her primary therapist carrying her along with Molly who was her other therapist.  She wouldn't leave the hat on, but it was so nice of them to put a little something on.  It's been a long 7 weeks of therapy, but well worth it.  Next up they will be making some home visits to make sure our transition to home goes well.  Then it's just a 1 hour weekly session to check in.  If all goes well for a couple months, we'll start making some more progress with volume, texture, consistency, timing etc.

And gifts too?  Eisley was very excited to get her very own spoon, nuk and cup!
This place was beginning to feel a bit too much like home.  Leaving was almost like heading home from the hospital - we're ready to go, but I sure hope we don't screw anything up!  We'll be back soon enough with our weekly sessions.  The end officially comes when Little E is an age typical eater.  Best guess at the beginning of treatment was up to 3 years, but they had yet to really get to know Eisley and all of her superpowers!

I am so very grateful for all the efforts of the staff - although we may moan and groan about how challenging the last few weeks have been, it was all worth it to have our little one on her way to eating.
